Challenger Diversified Property (ASX: CDI) is a real estate investment trust with a range of properties in its portfolio.
Challenger Diversified was first listed on the exchange October 23, 2006. They have ownership interest in 32 office, industrial and retail properties located in Australia and France. Plus they have a leasehold interest in the Domain car park in Sydney.
Challenger is a stapled A-REIT. It consists of two trusts, Challenger Diversified Property Trust 1 and Challenger Diversified Property Trust 2. Their units are stapled together and may not be sold separately. Challenger Listed Investments Limited (CLIL) is the Responsible Entity of both.
Challenger Diversified Property Trust 1 holds CDI's passive properties. Challenger Diversified Property Trust 2 can develop properties and actively engage in property transactions.
