Allied Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (Toronto Stock Exchange ticker symbol: AP.UN) is the main owner of Class I (brick and beam) office buildings in Canada.
AP.UN owns buildings in Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg, Quebec City and Kitchener-Waterloo. They are a closed-end, unincorporated REIT based in Toronto Ontario. They own a total of 5 million square feet of rental space.
They generally re-purpose light industrial buildings originally built in the 1800s and early 1900s. Although the main use of the buildings is now as office space, the first floors rent out to retail outlets.

They own 52 buildings in Toronto, around King West, King West Central, the Entertainment District, Downtown, Queen-Richmond and St Lawrence Market.

Their top 10 tenants are: CGI Inc., Ubisoft Divertissments Inc., Desjardins, Cossette Communications, Autodesk Canada, SAP Labs, Indigo Books & Music, St. Michael's Hospital, Motorola, and Publicis Toronto.
Therefore, Allied Properties economic outlook is closely tied to that of Canada's major cities, especially those in the eastern provinces, since Toronto is the largest.
