Holloway Lodging REIT (TSX: HLR.UN) is an open-ended real estate investment trust concentrating on hotels, including limited service and in lower, suburban and urban markets.
Holloway Lodging began as a capital pool company (CPC) November 17, 2005. It had its IPO February 17, 2006. On June 7, 2006 it was reorganized into a REIT.
Holloway's hotels are managed externally by Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc. It also has an exclusive relationship with a hotel development company, Winport Developments Limited Partnership, giving it access to new hotels as they become ready to open.
W. Glenn Squires is the Chief Executive Officer of both Holloway and Pacrim Hospitality Services. They currently have 22 hotels with over 2000 guest rooms, in five Canadian provinces and the U.S. state of South Carolina.
They operate under brand names including Best Western, Holiday Inn, Northwest Inn, Radisson, and Super 8.
