RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: REI.UN) is the largest REIT in Canada that invests only in commercial retail properties, though it does have some office space too. They own the kind of small shopping centers anchored by supermarkets. Edward Sonshine, Q.C. is the President and Chief Executive Officer.
RioCan currently has over 36 million square feet of leasable space. That's a total of 247 different properties, spread throughout Canada although concentrated in Ontario.
