Extra Space Storage, Inc (NYSE: EXR) is a REIT that simply provides self-storage space to people who need to put some of their furniture or belongings in storage temporarily, and businesses who need to do that also.

Their headquarters are in Salt Lake City, Utah. Extra Space is the 2nd largest self-storage company in the United States. They own, design, develop, acquire, and operate them. The company was founded in 1977. They have 654 facilities in 33 states and the District of Columbia.
Extra Space Storage has over 600 locations around the United States. They offer a variety of sizes and climate controlled units, to prevent destruction of your property through extremes of heat and cold, by maintaining temperatures of from 55 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. They also offer rental trucks where and when available, and extra boxes and packing materials. They use on-site video cameras to enhance their security. Also, you need a customer number to get into the gate, into the facilities.
You can rent units from 25 square feet to 300 square feet.
