National Health Realty's New York Stock Exchange ticker symbol was NHR, and it was formed on December 31, 1997. On October 31, 2007, they were merged into a subsidiary of National HealthCare Corporation. Each share of NHR common stock was exchanged for one share of NHC Series A Preferred Stock (AMEXThey owned 16 skilled nursing facilities, 6 assisted living centers and one independent living center. Plus, they invested in the first and second mortgages secured by skilled nursing facilities and other healthcare related properties, up to $13.2 million.
