Winthrop Realty Trust is a mortgage real estate investment trust that invests is making loans secured by real estate, joint ventures with local real estate partners, and acquiring equity and debt securities secured by real estate.

Winthrop Realty Trust is based in both Boston and New York City, and was formerly known as First Union Real Estate Equity & Mortgage Investments, so it still trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol FUR.

Carolyn Tiffany is now the President of Winthrop Realty. They also provide expertise at property management, asset management and construction management. They focus on four business segments: (i) operating properties (ii) real estate securities (iii) platform joint venture investments and (iv) loans.

Winthrop Realty Trust Current Assets Include:

15 triple net leased retail and office properties with over 1.985 million square feet of space in 10 states. A 585,000 square foot warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida. Two office buildings with a total of 200,000 square feet in Amherst, New York -- 100% triple net leased to Ingram Micro Inc. A 110,000 square foot office building in Indianapolis, Indiana -- Circle Tower. Two office properties at 148,500 square feet net leased to Verizon of New England Inc. in Andover, Massachusetts and Burlington, Vermont. Two multi-tenanted office buildings in Lisle, Illinois, with 236,200 square feet. A 1% general partnership and 7% limited partnership interest in a 614,000 square foot office building in Houston, Texas net leased to Spectra Energy Westheimer, LP. Creekwood Apartments - a 230 unit multi-family garden apartment complex in Kansas City, Kansas.
