CapitaCommercial Trust (SIN:C61U) is one of Singapore's largest Real Estate Investment Trust (S-REIT), and was the second publicly listed REIT in that country. It was first listed on the Singapore Securities Exchange Trading Limited on May 11, 2004.
CapitaCommercial Trust Owns Property in Singapore and Malaysia
CCT was created as a spinoff from CapitaLand Limited. It is externally managed by CapitaCommercial Trust Management Limited (CCTML), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of CapitaLand.
CapitalCommercial owns ten buildings in the Central Area of Singapore, a thirty percent ownership interest in Quill Capita Trust (QCT), a commercial REIT listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, and a 7.4% interest in Malaysia Commercial Development Fund, CapitaLand's first and largest private real estate fund.
Its Singapore portfolio includes: Capital Tower, Six Battery Road, One George Street, HSBC Building, Starhub Centre, Raffles City Singapore (60% interest through RCS Trust), Bugis Village, Wilkie Edge, Golden Shoe Car Park and Market Street Car Park.
Quill Capita Trust owns commercial properties in Kuala Lumpur, Cyberjaya and Penang. The Malaysia Commercial Development Fund owns development properties in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley.
They were the Asia's Best Companies 2009 and 2010 winners for Best Managed Midcap Company.
Therefore, CapitaCommercial Trust is a Real Estate Investment Trust positioned to benefit from the economic growth of Singapore and Malaysia.
