CapitaMall Trust (SIN: C38U) was the first publicly listed REIT in Singapore, listed on Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited in July 2002. It is also the largest Real Estate Investment Trust on the Singapore Exchange.
CapitaMall own fourteen different retail properties in suburban and downtown Singapore. Mr. James Koh Cher Siang is the Chairman & Independent Non-Executive Director. They are also rated A2 by Moody's, the highest score given to a Singapore-based REIT.
CMT Property Portfolio Includes:
Tampines Mall, Junction 8, Funan DigitaLife Mall, IMM Building, Plaza Singapura, Bugis Junction, Sembawang Shopping Centre, JCube (formerly known as Jurong Entertainment Centre), Hougang Plaza, Raffles City Singapore (40.0% interest), Lot One Shoppers’ Mall, Bukit Panjang Plaza (90 out of 91 strata lots), Rivervale Mall and The Atrium@Orchard.
They're currently in the process of purchasing Clarke Quay. They also own a 19.7% interest in CapitaRetail China Trust. That is the first China shopping mall REIT listed on the SGX-ST (since December 2006). They're also the only Real Estate Investment Trust listed in the Straits Times (ST) Index.
CMT is managed externally by CapitaMall Trust Management Limited, an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of CapitaMalls Asia Limited. CapitaMalls Asia Limited also sponsors CapitaRetail China Trust, and is one of Asia’s largest publicly listed shopping mall owners. Their trustee is HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Limited.
