The Societe de la Tour Eiffel (EPA:EIFF) is a French Real Estate Investment Trust (SIIC) based in Paris. It is the first Societe d'Investissement Immobilier Cotee in France, beginning with 2004.
It specializes in office buildings and business parks in France, and also owns warehouses, light industrial areas, and nursing home in the South of France -- sixty-two properties total, worth 1,074 million euros.
The Societe de la Tour Eiffel started out as the managers of the Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel), but became just a shell company after losing that concession to the Paris town authrities in 1979. It was put up for sale by its owner, HSBC, in 2003 and bought by two investors, Mark Inch and Robert Waterland with the backing of Soros Real Estate Investors.
In 2005 it bought up Locafimo, a property company that owned thirty-five buildings. It owns a property management company, Awon Asset Management, as a subsidiary. In 2007 it bought up Parcoval. Mark Inch is the President of EIFF.
